Blog 7

Blog 7 So far, my experience with twitter has been very positive. It has been very easy to use and it has been cool to see a lot of educational articles and other educational related things that I would normally not look at if I was going on twitter. I have learned a lot from using twitter. For one thing, I have been up to date on news regarding education and educational technology. Another thing that I have learned is that twitter could make a unique and engaging platform to use in the classroom. There are many benefits to using twitter. One benefit is that it makes connecting with other people very easy. It also creates an interesting space to share and learn about things that you are interested in. I have not experienced any issues with twitter yet. I learned some new skills while I was working on designing my website. On new skill that I learned is how to embed links to other websites into my website. This is useful because I could provide links to tools and resources that I...

ILP Design

ILP Design For my independent learning project, I created a Prezi about the three states of matter. I created this presentation for a science teacher to use to teach the class about states of matter. This presentation includes definitions for solids, liquids, and gases. It also includes information about the molecules that make up each type of matter. Lastly, it includes an example of each and a picture of the molecules of each type so that the students' have a visual representation that will make it easier to understand. I think that this prezi will help the students be more engaged during the lesson and will help them to learn new information. Link to Prezi: https://prezi.com/p/hvbjyhr9dfmz/

Blog 6 There are many things that teachers decide to put on their class pages. Most of the time, teachers include an about me page so that their students and parents can get to know them better. They also include a daily schedule so that parents can know exactly what goes on in their child's classroom. Lastly, they usually include their class newsletters on the site, or at least links to the newsletters. This helps the parents learn information that is important about the school, class, and their child. Overall, these are the basic things that almost all teachers include. I visited Ms. Wilson's class website. She teaches 2nd grade at FSUS. https://www.fsus.school/Page/422 I see my self using technology a lot to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently. One way is to use an online gradebook. Online gradebooks help to organize the grades by assignment and they also make grading a lot faster. If I have students submit assignments to this gradeboo...

Blog 5

Blog 5 My initial experience with Diigo has been a positive one. I did not know that Diigo even existed or what it did. I enjoyed getting to use it in class because it was a new tool for me. I really liked the aspect where you got to highlight and annotate the website. It was helpful because I could make notes about what I liked and didn't like on the website. My experience with blogging has also been positive. It has been a very easy-to-use tool that I could see myself using in my own classroom. I like the fact that there really are no rules for blogging. Your blog can be about anything and everything. That's what makes it such a diverse tool that can be used in almost every setting. I have learned that a blog is an easy way to connect and communicate with others and this is why it is such a useful tool in the classroom. There are many Web 2.0 tools. One Web 2.0 tools is Pinterest. This tool can be used in many different ways by teachers. They can use it to create b...
