There are many things that teachers decide to put on their class pages. Most of the time, teachers include an about me page so that their students and parents can get to know them better. They also include a daily schedule so that parents can know exactly what goes on in their child's classroom. Lastly, they usually include their class newsletters on the site, or at least links to the newsletters. This helps the parents learn information that is important about the school, class, and their child. Overall, these are the basic things that almost all teachers include.

I see my self using technology a lot to accomplish my professional responsibilities more efficiently. One way is to use an online gradebook. Online gradebooks help to organize the grades by assignment and they also make grading a lot faster. If I have students submit assignments to this gradebook, then I will not have to worry about grading them and will have more time to focus on other things. Another way that I can use technology is for email. Email is a great tool for connecting with parents. You can send out class newsletters and announcement over email and can also use email to contact parents. This is often easier than trying to reach a parent by phone. Overall, technology is a tool that teachers can use to be more efficient.
Visiting the technology sandbox was really cool! I got to see a lot of cool technologies ranging from apps on an ipad to 3D printers. Each one was very interesting and there were a lot of things I had never heard of before. One really cool technology that we were able to play around with was the virtual reality headsets. This can be used in the classroom as a way to engage the students in a lesson. For example, if you are learning about space, you can download a program for the virtual reality that allows students to feel like they are really in space. This might help them learn better because they are actually able to see what space would be like. The same goes for a variety of other lessons and places as well The virtual reality headset would be very cool to use in the classroom and integrate into the lessons.
