ILP Design- Kahoot

ILP Design- Kahoot For my ILP #2 I decided to make a kahoot. My kahoot is made for math for elementary-aged students. My kahoot has different types of questions including straightforward questions and word problems. The teacher could use the kahoot to review for a math quiz or test.  Overall, I think that the kahoot would be a good review for the students. https://play.kahoot.it/#/k/c646d559-55c6-4db1-866a-969734b6aa66

Blog 10 I think that excel and other data collection tools will be useful to me as a teacher. I want to work with elementary-age students, so excel will be hard to use in the classroom, but I can use it as a teacher. I will be able to use it to input grades and see the averages for assignments so I can see how well my students are grasping the material that I am teaching. I can also use it for surveys. I can send out a survey to be able to find out more about my students. If I find out things like how many people are in their family and how many pets they have, I might be better able to reach my students.  Some things that I found interesting from reviewing my classmates blogs was that everyone has different opinions on things that we have used in class like the blog, twitter, and diigo. I think that it is cool and helpful to see everyone's different opinions on things that we all have to use. It is interesting to see views that are different than mine. A technology relate...

Blog 9 A flipped classroom is an instructional technique that can be used to teach. It is not widely used, but some teachers like it. Basically, the flipped classroom involves having the students learn the material for the lesson at home and then using their time in the classroom to complete homework and assignments. I personally do not like the flipped classroom because I do not do well with things like online classes where I have to learn the material by myself, I do better learning form an actual teacher. Open educational resources are resources that are freely accessible and open for everyone to use. They are usually digital resources which makes for easy access. These are very helpful for teachers to use to provide extra support to their lessons. OER Commons is a website that is dedicated exclusive to providing open educational resources on all kinds of topics. This website is helpful for teachers because they can use these resources to provide additional information and pr...

Blog 8 By using Diigo, I have gained many new skills. One new skill that I have learned is how to annotate a website. I also learned how to create bookmarks to websites that I think are useful. This application can be useful in the classroom because I can create a group for discussion. Students can use it to comment on posts and to post and annotate articles. I can also use it for myself because it will allow me to save articles that I have annotated for futures use.  PowerPoint can be used to support student learning at every level of Bloom's Taxonomy. For the remember part, it can be used during the lesson to display facts and notes that students should be able to remember. For the understand part, teachers can include videos or images that show a visual of the information so it can be better understood. PowerPoint can be used for the apply section because you can include quizzes in it. Teachers can put a short quiz at the end so they can see if students' learned the m...
