I think that excel and other data collection tools will be useful to me as a teacher. I want to work with elementary-age students, so excel will be hard to use in the classroom, but I can use it as a teacher. I will be able to use it to input grades and see the averages for assignments so I can see how well my students are grasping the material that I am teaching. I can also use it for surveys. I can send out a survey to be able to find out more about my students. If I find out things like how many people are in their family and how many pets they have, I might be better able to reach my students. 

Some things that I found interesting from reviewing my classmates blogs was that everyone has different opinions on things that we have used in class like the blog, twitter, and diigo. I think that it is cool and helpful to see everyone's different opinions on things that we all have to use. It is interesting to see views that are different than mine.

A technology related skill that I would like to learn next is I would like to become better at using excel. I think that excel could be useful in my career. As a future teacher, I like that excel is able to use formulas. This could be helpful for figuring out grades and averages on assignments. I will do this by practicing using excel more and maybe watching YouTube videos to help me learn new skills with excel.
