A flipped classroom is an instructional technique that can be used to teach. It is not widely used, but some teachers like it. Basically, the flipped classroom involves having the students learn the material for the lesson at home and then using their time in the classroom to complete homework and assignments. I personally do not like the flipped classroom because I do not do well with things like online classes where I have to learn the material by myself, I do better learning form an actual teacher.

Open educational resources are resources that are freely accessible and open for everyone to use. They are usually digital resources which makes for easy access. These are very helpful for teachers to use to provide extra support to their lessons. OER Commons is a website that is dedicated exclusive to providing open educational resources on all kinds of topics. This website is helpful for teachers because they can use these resources to provide additional information and practice on what they are teaching.

By working on the two PowerPoint assignments, I have acquired some new skills. One skill that I have acquired is I now know how to record my voice and make my PowerPoint a PowerPoint Show. This could be helpful if I need to record my lectures and put them online for students to access. Another skill that I learned is how to insert action buttons that take you to the next slide or back to the home page. Overall, these assignments have been helpful because they taught me how to use different features of PowerPoint.
